5 Days to Better Instructional Design

Instructional Design isn’t a single skill set. It is a collection of skills and theories which Instructional Designers (IDs) utilize collectively to accomplish specific instructional goals (Brown & Green, 2020). Many individuals use Instructional Design skills in the workplace without even knowing it.

This eElearning website is intended as a basic introduction to the principles of Instructional Design. You are invited to learn at your own pace, and you are welcome to view the course materials in any order you wish (although they have a natural flow from Day 1 to Day 5).

At the end of each topic, you will be invited to CHECK YOUR KNOWLEDGE. These short quizzes are an opportunity to check the information you’ve taken away from each topic and review any material you miss.

A ten-question quiz at the end of Day 5 will give you a final overview of what you’ve learned and where you may want to review further.
