These activities present events or interactions which allow learners to gain knowledge, skills, or insight through participation in problem-solving or critical thinking work.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Some examples of Learning Activities include (Brown &amp; Green, 2020):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructional Games<\/li>\n<li>Identification of Similarities or Differences<\/li>\n<li>Classification of Information or Objects<\/li>\n<li>Summarization and Note-Taking<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcement through Recognition of Effort<\/li>\n<li>Homework and Practice<\/li>\n<li>Visual Representation<\/li>\n<li>Cooperative Learning<\/li>\n<li>Setting Objectives with Feedback<\/li>\n<li>Setting and Testing Hypotheses<\/li>\n<li>Questions, Cues, and Organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_cta][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;bounceInRight&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4>Learning Environments<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>A Learning Environment is the setting in which instructors, leaners, and content are brought together. It is not just a physical location, but an idea, shaped by the type of learning that needs to occur and other factors (Brown &amp; Green, 2020).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There are four types of Learning Environments (Brown &amp; Green, 2020):<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Learner-Centered<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Focused on skills, knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs that learner brings to the environment. Instructors use the learner&#8217;s pre-held ideas to create situations where the learner can form new ideas or beliefs about the content.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Knowledge-Centered<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Focused on providing activities and information which help learners develop an understanding through exposure to well-organized knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Assessment-Centered<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Focused on creating opportunities for instructors to provide feedback and make revisions to the learner&#8217;s understanding through the use of testing and critique.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Community-Centered<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Focused on creating opportunities for individuals to learn from one-another.
